As Director-South at Eduserve Consulting, P.N.Kumar is responsible for leading and managing the company’s operations at Chennai as well as enhancing its strategy and service capabilities especially with respect to the Hospitality industry. Among his many accomplishments, P.N.Kumar holds the distinction of leading a team of more than 50 finance, secretarial and other hospitality professionals in managing the finances of a 300 room Hotel with 5 restaurants and massive banqueting facilities.
Apart from financial structuring and project management he has done extensive work on revenue management, budgetary control, financial accounting and MIS leading to massive improvements in ARR and Margins. Negotiating with banks /financial institutions for working capital limits and long term funding was an inherent part of the whole process.
Implementing ERP systems and computerization of accounts at a time when computers were just being introduced has been another of his achievements.
P.N.Kumar is a seasoned hospitality industry finance professional with a varied experience of more than three decades in various finance positions, handling responsibility of controlling companies finances in a career that started with ITDC Ltd.
Prior to Eduserve Consulting, P.N.Kumar has worked with HMS Host, a multinational hospitality service provider and several properties of the Taj Group of Hotels, heading the finance for several units across the country and abroad. He has been an exceptional team player with strong people skills and has managed large teams during his tenure.
